One way or another, "e-" is infiltrating our lives and societies every day. It is only a matter of time until today's explorations of e-democracy and e-government will take more concrete shapes. But we must be careful what we wish for, because "e-" not only brings advantages, but carries along inherent dangers that, if ignored, may turn everything into disaster. One of the aspects of e-democracy and e-government is e-voting. Haste is never good and, especially for e-voting, is what leads to overlooking the dangers and opening the gate for unwanted events. This paper explores some of the issues of e-voting.
