摘要
We propose a technique to design and optimize optical amplifiers based on EDFA optical amplifiers employing a multi-objective bio-inspired optimization algorithm. The results, presented in Pareto fronts, indicate the possibility to design gain-controlled amplifiers with wide operation range and small equalization penalty by adjusting only the pump power, being especially interesting for dynamic optical networks.
