Thermomigration of zinc in aluminum and Al-Zn alloy

摘要
The redistribution of Zn in aluminum and Al-4.98 mass % Zn alloys under the temperature gradient from 77 to 161 K cm(-1) has been measured using the radioactive tracer method with Zn-65. The concentration of Zn increased at the hot side of specimen. The effective heat of transport for thermomigration Q(Zn)** in aluminum and Al-4.98 mass % Zn alloy are found to be -(30.1 similar to 34.3) and -(32.7 similar to 38.5) kJ mol(-1), respectively.
