摘要:
This paper presents numerical solution of Poisson's equation using Finite Element Method and MQ-radial basis function networks. Also, a comparison is made between these numerical methods for solving Poisson's equation, numerically and shows some failures of Finite Element Method in this case. Furthermore, we show that, resulted numerical solutions for a rectangular domain is more accurate than non-rectangular ones. Generally, Finite Element Method is not an appropriate method for those PDEs with non-rectangular domains.
