摘要：
Self-assembly can occur spontaneously in solution for calix[4]arenes substituted at both the upper and lower rims with flexible pendant groups containing aromatic rings. This self-assembly occurs in both a head-to-tail and head-to-head manner, as proven by NOESY experiments. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
