摘要
There is an increase in the number of students using motor vehicles at UiTM Perlis. However, students lack the understanding and awareness about the detrimental effects of using motor vehicles on campuses. This is evident from analysing students' responses on (1) the extent of the impact of motor vehicles on environment; (2) students' willingness in playing a positive role in reducing pollution caused by motor vehicles; and (3) accounting for motor vehicles' pollution on the environment. It is a comparative study involving students pursuing their Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Accountancy. Though there are effective means of raising awareness, it can be questioned whether such initiatives provide the knowledge necessary for students to understand the complexity of environmental problems and their solutions.
