摘要
The primary objective of this paper is the optimization of the new non-circular spinning process. To this end, a numerical process simulation was conducted. The optimization approach (based on the numerical simulation) entails the targeted adaption of the roller feed rate and of the operating angle of the roller during the process. As a result of the process of optimization, the sheet thinning could be reduced by nearly 30%. Secondly, the new forming process of rotational swing-folding is presented and the first numerical results are given. It is demonstrated that the use of a convex forming tool leads to reduced wrinkling, compared to the use of a cylindrical forming tool. (C) 2014 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
