Mechanisms of apoptotic cell death.

Basic mechanisms of apoptotic death of cells are considered on the model of blood cells. Paths of development, conduction and realization of apoptotic signals are discussed with special emphasis on caspases functions and two main paths of proapoptotic signal conduction: DNA damage - gene P53 - activation of Bcl-2 gene family - mitochondrion - apoptosoma - activation of caspase9; "cell death region" - adapter molecules - caspase8 activation. Complexity and multivariance of the programs of apoptotic death realization provide some reserve for cellular kinetics but at the same time make cells dependent on many external and internal factors.
