摘要
A series of mixtures of unexcited electrorheological fluids under elastohydrodynamic lubrication of finite line contacts are investigated by using optical interferometric test It is found from the photographs of the fluid film on 50% or 60% polyurethane particle/silicone oil mixtures, there is no particles piling up and side leakage took place in the center contact zone, but the side leakage is taken place in the ends of roller significantly. Adequate film formation is influenced by the tendency of the solid particles to evade the contact region. At the contact area, in case speeded particles of 60% mixture oil enter the contact and generate a EHL, film, there is a ebb tide phenomenon of oil from center of contact region to the ends of roller after a few seconds of stop rolling suddenly.
