Analytical Investigation on Vibrations and Dynamic Response of Functionally Graded Plate Integrated with Piezoelectric Layers in Thermal Environment

摘要
This article presents an analytical investigation for a thermo-piezoelectrically actuated sandwich circular plate made of functionally graded material. Initial stress state and pre-vibration deformations of the simply supported FGM plate are determined by solving a nonlinear static problem. By adding an incremental dynamic state to the pre-vibration state, the governing differential equations are derived. The role of piezoelectric control voltage and thermal environment effects on nonlinear static deflections and natural frequencies imposed by the piezoelectric actuators using high input voltages are discussed. Numerical examples in dimensionless forms are provided and simulation results investigated. The good agreement between the results of this article and those of the finite element (FE) analyses validated the presented approach. In a parametric study the i is placed on investigating the effect of varying the gradient index of FG plate and applied piezoelectric actuator voltage as well as thermal environment on the vibration characteristics of the structure.
