摘要
Open porous materials are of rising interest, because these materials combine functional and structural properties. A promising method to produce open porous metallic foams is the SlipReactionFoamSintering (SRFS)-process. The functional properties can be precisely adjusted, e.g. by a functional graded pore structure. Several applications are conceivable, like new cooling concepts for high temperature applications. In this paper, the SlipReactionFoamSintering-process itself and the foam properties permeability, thermal shock resistance up to 1000 degrees C and the compression strength under elevated temperatures up to 600 degrees C are presented. Actual research of this material focuses on high temperature materials like Inconel 625 or instead of this lower alloyed base materials with coatings. A strategy to enhance the chemical stability is to deposit TiN on the surface of the foam pores by Chemical Vapor Infiltration (CVI) processes.
