The effects of charge carriers on magnetic properties of ferromagnetic semiconductors

摘要
Coherent potential approximation (CPA) is used to study the effects of charge carriers on the magnetic properties of ferromagnetic semiconductors. Using a generalized mean-field theory and the Vonsovskii model for the interaction of conduction electrons with localized spins, we have calculated the density of states (DOS). We also derived a typical curve for the critical temperature and some magnetization curves for the EuO system. There is good agreement with the experimental results.
