摘要：
The title compound, C16H10N2O8 center dot 2C(3)H(7)NO, was synthesized by the reductive condensation reaction of 5-nitroisophthalic acid in the presence of NaOH. The tetra-acid molecule, which has a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry, adopts an E configuration with respect to the azo group. In the crystal packing, molecules are linked through intermolecular O - H ... O and C - H ... O hydrogen-bonding interactions, forming chains propagating in [210].
