摘要
This paper reviews the "income inequality-health hypothesis" with panel data of 35 countries. The research finds that there exists significant and robust relationship between income inequality mid infant mortality, the higher the income inequality, the higher the infant mortality; though income inequality has negative influence on life expectancy, which is in conformity with our expectation, the coefficient is not significant, which may be caused by the inaccurateness of the data. So we believe the "income inequality-health hypothesis" exists, the widening of income gap has negative influence oil people's health.
