Structural and dielectric properties of Sr5RTi3Ta7O30 (R = Sm, Y) ceramics

摘要
Sr5RTi3Ta7O30 (R = Sm, Y) ceramics were prepared and characterized. Sr5RTi3Ta7O30 (R = Sm, Y) belong to paraelectric phases of filled tetragonal tungsten bronze (TB) structure at room temperature. Phase transitions around 0 degreesC for Sr5YTi3Ta7O30 and around -40 degreesC for Sr5SmTi3Ta7O30 were observed by DSC measurements. Sr5SmTi3Ta7O30 and Sr5YTi3Ta7O30 ceramics show high dielectric constant of 116 and 108 together with low dielectric loss 4.2 x 10(-3) and 4.5 x 10(-3) at 1 MHz, respectively. In comparison with Ba-based ceramics with TB structure, the temperature coefficients of the dielectric constant (tau(epsilon)) are significantly reduced. (C) 2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
