摘要
Multiphase magneto-hydrodynamic flow phenomenon in the continuous casting process is very important. Physical modeling used mercury and nitrogen as simulator was examined. The resistance probes were applied to study the gas bubble statistical behavior with and without magnetic field. The results show that when the magnetic field is imposed, the bubbles void fraction and number were increased at zone adjacent to nozzle, the bubbles number were decreased at the narrow side of mold. The total bubbles void fraction was increased at the same flow volume.
