摘要
A field experiment was conducted during the winter (rabi) and rainy (kharif) seasons of 1991-92 and 1392-93 to study the effect of N splits and Zn application methods on wheat (Triticum aestivum L. emend Fiori and Paol.) and their residual effect on rice (Oryza sativa L.). The application of farmyard manure @ 10 tonnes/ha + full N (120 kg/ha) as foliar in equal 3 splits gave the higher yield, net returns, N and Zn uptake by grain and straw in wheat-rice crops sequence than other treatments. The application of 20 kg ZnSO4/ha as basal and 5 kg ZnSO4/ha as foliar wore found equally efficient, a dose of 5 kg ZnSO4/ha as foliar application gave higher yield and N and Zn uptake by wheat. The carry-over effect of farmyard manure and zinc sulphate as basal on rice yield and soil fertility proved superior to other modes of N and Zn in crop sequence.
