摘要
Obesity is a condition of abnormally increased body fat resulting from increased energy intake relative to energy expenditure. Excess body weight is a risk factor for many somatic and psychological disorders, includ-ing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, osteoarthritis, and cancer types. Bone metabolism, bone turnover, and mineral content are altered in severe obesity. This review will focus on the relationship between inflammation and bone biomarkers in adult obesity.
