摘要
This paper is a survey study which is to investigate the influence that media have on the Chinese females' body image and to what extent these women are actually affected, and their awareness of the influence of media on their body image. The findings from this research show that the mass media play an important role in influencing the attitudes of women on how they view themselves in term of body image, and have caused a positive effect on body dissatisfaction among Chinese women. What's more, Chinese young women are not fully aware of the influence of the media.
