Strength and behavior of steel bearing wall with slits installed in building frame

摘要
A total of six building frames with/without steel bearing wall with slits were tested under cyclic lateral load, to investigate the mutual effects of frame and bearing wall. The test variables were the rigidity of beam to column, and the type of bearing wall. As an experimental result, the strength of the bearing wall installed in a frame, proved to be estimated by already proposed design formula, and so did the stiffness of one type of wall. To estimate the stiffness of frame with another type of wall, mutual effect of frame and wall should be taken into consideration. Frame's energy absorption while moderate deformation, greatly increased with bearing wall installed.
