摘要
Minoxidil solubility in binary mixtures of propylene glycol + water at different temperatures has been performed by shake-flask method followed by spectrophotometry method. Four cosolvency models including the modified Wilson model, the Yalkowsky model, Jouyban-Acree model and Jouyban-Acree-van't Hoff model were used to correlate the measured solubility data. The correlation and prediction abilities of these models were compared by computing mean relative deviations (MREM. Apparent thermodynamic properties of minoxidil dissolution such as enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy were investigated through van't Hoff and Gibbs equations. Furthermore, preferential solvation parameters of minoxidil were calculated by means of the inverse Kirkwood-Buff integrals. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
