摘要
The aim of the study is to understand the differences of physical activity and health related quality of life in different individuals and the discrepancies in health related quality of life in different amount of physical activity. Physical activity and health related quality of life are surveyed using the Taiwan International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Version (IPAQ) and World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF Taiwan version (WHOQOL), respectively. This study surveyed 110 community dwelling elders in Pingtung County using convenience of sampling. The surveys obtained were then processed using statistics analysis software SPSS 17.0 for Windows to conduct analyses. Health Related Quality of Life questionnaires, with a total of 28 questions encompassing categories of physical health, psychological, social relationship, and environment are used. In this study we found the physical activity elders do the most is walking, in terms of the most time spent. Meanwhile, the high scoring in "Social Category" may be contributed to the active participation by elders in community events. Clearly, participation in community events may promote successful ageing and raise the quality of life.
