Synthesis of Cu2O microcrystals with morphological evolution from octahedral to microrod through a simple surfactant-free chemical route

摘要
We report shape controlled synthesis of Cu2O microcrystals through a simple surfactant-free chemical route by controlling the reaction temperature and time. The sequence of morphology that was observed during the growth process of Cu2O microcrystals was: octahedral, star, short hexapod, extended hexapod and finally, the separation of branches of the extended hexapod into microrods.
