摘要
To mimic O(2) generation in PSII we have synthesized dinuclear manganese complexes with Schiff bases, which were obtained by the condensation between triethylenetetramine and salicylaldehyde derivatives. Moreover, novel dinucleating ligands, which were derived from 5,5'-methylene-bis-salicylaldehyde and alkylesters of 1 : 1 condensation product of 5-carboxysalicylaldehyde and ethylenediamine, and their manganese(III) complexes have been prepared. These manganese complexes have been identified by elemental analysis and physico-chemical measurements. These complexes have been found to react with water to generate O(2) in low yields.
