Influence of structural relaxation on the fatigue behavior of a Zr41.25Ti13.75Ni10CU12.5Be22.5 bulk amorphous alloy

摘要
The cyclic fatigue behavior of two as-cast amorphous Zr41.25Ti13.75Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 alloys was examined. Although both had identical compositions, the fatigue endurance strength (10(7) cycles) was higher for the alloy with less free volume, as determined by differential scanning calorimetry experiments.
