摘要
Ore metal-rich magmatic fluids are found in the vapor bubbles of melt inclusions in phenocrysts of felsic volcanic rocks that host the hydrothermal fields in the presently active eastern Manus Basin of the western Pacific and the large Ordovician massive Zn-Pb-Cu sulfide deposits in the Bathurst Mining Camp of New Brunswick, Canada. The fluids contain Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mn, Pb, Ag and Au chlorides, sulfides and oxides. Degassing of such fluids from magma into seafloor hydrothermal systems can contribute large quantities of ore metals for the formation of massive sulfides on modern and ancient seafloors.
