摘要
A new CPW-fed Gosper island UWB monopole antenna is proposed. The fractal layout provides a better response in terms of bandwidth compared to the response of a standard hexagonal broadband antenna. The hexagonal layout presents the building block (first iteration) of the proposed antenna. The vertical bar S-11 vertical bar in dB satisfies the 10 dB criterion from 3.1 GHz to 10.9 GHz. A monopole-like radiation pattern is achieved and acceptable gain values along the operational bandwidth are obtained. The efficiency of the antenna is considered high with a maximum value of 89.6 %. Moreover, a notching fractal arm is attached to the radiating part of the antenna to provide a notching band between 4 GHz and 4.3 GHz. The center of the notching band value is inversely proportional to the length of the fractal arm. The proposed antenna can be scaled to operate at different broadband frequency ranges.
