摘要
The capacity of a CDMA cellular system is investigated taking into consideration of both intra-sector and inter-sector interference. Investigated in particular is the influence of hot spots and their distribution in a cell, on the cell capacity. Adaptive sectorisation is attempted with finite beam switching as a means of improving the cell capacity under these condition. Results are obtained using a simulation that takes into account of the random nature of user population both in and outside the hot spots.
