This paper presents a multicriteria decision model for preventive maintenance of logistic systems. Quality performance of logistic systems can not always be evaluated through cost. Several subjective considerations might arise when a decision maker is choosing the best alternative taking into account the global objectives. This model considers two criteria in order to analyse the most appropriate preventive maintenance intervals: cost and reliability. The reliability of the system represents the quality performance for the logistic service. PROMETHEE method has been applied to build the decision model. Prior knowledge of expert engineers are incorporated within the model in order to model the uncertainties regarding the reliability. This paper presents theoretical considerations and results of a numerical application.
