摘要
Phase transformations and phase transition temperatures in a carbon containing Ti-45Al-7 were analyzed and compared to the related thermodynamic simulations. Pre-alloyed powders of three different compositions were produced by means of gas atomization. It was observed that C stabilized the ordered α2-Ti3Al phase that results in an increased eutectoid temperature. It was found that the influence of Nb and C on the α-transus temperature was relatively small. A discrepancy, with regard to the eutectoid temperature was also observed in high Nb-containing γ-TiAl based alloys.
