摘要
With the development of information and communication technologies and increasing popularity of social media, the need to inform students about safe behavior on the internet grows. We are currently confronted with cases of stolen identity on the internet or breaking into personal accounts. Therefore, it is necessary for students to become familiar with the possibilities to protect their private accounts and their personal information. For this purpose, coding can be used. If students learn about the ways of coding, they can use it when creating passwords or keeping their personal information. Another consequence of introducing students to coding is to increase their interest in mathematics and computer science. The paper presents the meta-analysis of the published studies dealing with the different kinds of coding and decoding methods. On the basis of an analysis of the current state of the studied problem, the paper provides a comprehensive view of coding and decoding methods with an emphasis on the advantages and disadvantages of these methods and their use in education.
