摘要
The adsorption and corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 1 M HCl solution by 1,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazolo [3,4-d]pyrimidin-4(5H)-one were investigated by the electrochemical measurements. This organic com- pound has been found to have a high inhibitory efficiency against corrosion of mild steel in HCl solution. This compound is classified as a mixed type corrosion inhibitor. Corrosion rate at high temperature and some thermodynamic parameters were studied and calculated. The studied inhibitor is adsorbed on the metal surface according to the model of the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Finally, we conclude our study by the correlation between the inhibitory efficiency of and its electronic structural parameters. For this reason, quantum chemistry is called. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
