X-ray diffraction (XRD) experiments using high energy electromagnetic radiation (Esimilar to 60 - 200keV) provide diffraction data of unprecedented quality. The absorption of electromagnetic radiation decreases above the K-edges approximately as E-3. This implies, that scattering becomes the dominant process at high energies and drastically reduces correction procedures. The maximum momentum transfer attainable is principally unlimited and the real space resolution can be adapted to the physical problem. Three examples illustrate the use of this technique.
