Thermally sprayed coatings are widely used in industrial applications. Formed coatings exhibit high hardness, wear and corrosion resistance, fracture toughness. Those properties strongly depend on materials used for spraying process. In this Study tungsten carbide-cobalt and Self fluxing Ni alloy (nickel, chromium, boron, silicon) powders were used to form the coating. Flame spraying was used for this purpose. Different proportions of mentioned powders were blended together to acquire materials with different percentage of WC/Co in it. Analysis of the coatings formed using those materials was performed using conventional methods to evaluate their properties and identify powders which are suited best for hard, wear resisting layers.
