摘要
The contribution of toroidal moments to the spontaneous electric emission in a continuous homogeneous nonabsorbing condensed medium is calculated. The probability of toroidal emission of multipolarity L depends on dielectric and magnetic constants as f(L)(2)(epsilon)epsilon(L+3/2)mu(L+5/2), where f(L)(epsilon) is the local-field factor. The linear refractive-index dependence of the spontaneous emission probability for electric-dipole transitions in dielectrics in the real cavity model transforms to an n(5) dependence in the range ngreater than or similar to1/omegaa(B).
