摘要
The ability to manipulate a flow field to improve efficiency or performance is one of the leading areas of research of many scientists and engineers in fluid mechanics. Active manipulation of separated flows over airfoils at moderate and high angles of attack has been the focus of a number of investigations for many years. The objective of these investigations is to improve the wind turbines aerodynamic performance and increase their operational range by inducing complete or partial flow reattachment. One of the main methods used in active flow control is the usage of blowing devices with constant and pulsed blowing. Through CFD simulation over a 2D wind turbine airfoil, this study is trying to highlight the impact of pulsed blowing over its aerodynamic characteristics.
