摘要
This paper aims to evaluate the quality of diesel engine using an improved TOPSIS method. The TOPSIS, a commonly used method in the evaluation of multiple criteria, is mainly adopted to sort the evaluation objects. However, the need to do in most cases is just to divide them into several categories. K-means algorithm, a major clustering algorithm, is often used to deal with classification problems. But it can't tell the difference between each category. Therefore, the combination of the two can play a very good role in the treatment of evaluation problems. Different from the traditional evaluation, this paper will use the trial run data of diesel engine to evaluate the quality of diesel engine. At the same time, the evaluation process also considers the moderate index. The effectiveness of the method combined with TOPSIS and k-means algorithm is illustrated by an evaluation example.
