摘要
The ion acoustic cnoidal waves (IACWs) are investigated in a magnetized anisotropic electron ion plasma with superthermal electron distribution. The ions are warm and manifest pressure anisotropy. The reductive perturbation technique is used to explicitly derive the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation which shows the existence and evolution of cnoidal waves (CWs). The upshot of various physical plasma parameters on the properties of IACWs is considered at length. The relevance of present investigation to the magnetosphere and near Earth magnetosheath is pointed out.
