摘要
What would it mean to undiscipline Victorianists, as well as Victorian studies? This essay uses Roderick A. Ferguson's The Reorder of Things to answer this question. Engaging Ferguson, this essay argues that it is not enough simply to incorporate minoritized knowledges into Victorian studies, but that there must also be an effort to bring about structural change and redistribution of resources. As an example of such an effort, this essay describes how my colleague Zak Breckenridge and I have taken direct action through the Race and Empire Collective. I also suggest various strategies by way of which Victorianists might take action, whether in the classroom or outside it.
