摘要
A novel algorithm of image compression based on double adaptive lifting wavelet and support vector machines (SVM) was presented in this paper. Contract to traditional image compression algorithm with traditional lifting scheme wavelet transformation, our algorithm obtained two development that firstly the edge of a image was kept unsmooth which result in a clear image because the updating and prediction function are selected to change adaptivcly along with the edge information of image; secondly good effect was obtained in high compression because the SVM is creatively used to bind with wavelet. Experiment demonstrated that the algorithm presents well especially in damage image compression.
