Using fuzzy control in state space and controlling the state of the system with a fuzzy controller opens new possibilites for use of the theory of fuzzy sets. In this paper, we represented the basic idea of a fuzzy state space control and compared it with the classic state space control through solving the problem of balance control. While experimenting on the balance system, we are forced to use the modern theory of control. While developing the optimal state space control, the largest obstacle we face is to set up an acceptable linear mathematical model. This model will become useless in the system when the parameters are variable. Development of the fuzzy state space controller, on the other hand, does not require mathematical model of the proces, but fuzzy control rules must be obtained from human exerts.
