摘要
The volume and duration of low-flow events in river channels are important characteristics for water management and the design of hydraulic structures. These extreme low-flow characteristics were studied separately, as identically distributed random variables, on a time interval of I year. A statistical analysis was performed on the low-flow data series of Lepreau River, station 01AQ001 (New-Brunswick, Canada). The observed characteristics were compared with the theoretical results using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov and (or) chi(2) tests. It was generally concluded that the proposed model adequately fits the low-water phenomenon.
