摘要
More than 20% of the world's energy is consumed on transportation. In the long term, vehicle design, energy and fuel technologies may significantly reduce the impact on environment. In the short term, logistics and fleet management of companies play an important role in sustainable urbanization. This paper proposes fleet management benchmarking with an objective of enhancing fuel efficiency should be carried out at levels of corporate and country. An analysis on how benchmarking study can be carried out with reference to experience abroad is presented. Based on a case study, it is found that an energy efficiency benchmarking exercise for a corporate fleet help achieve cost saving on fuel and enhance overall efficiency.
