Assessment of multivariate process control techniques

A control chart is a useful statistical tool that aids practitioners in controlling and monitoring various production process in the industry. Choosing the techniques that would best fit the monitoring process would be a critical decision in gaining quality to the production. Issues in determining whether to use multivariate process control techniques to monitor an industrial process is discussed. Assessment of the problems that will occur when the using the multivariate procedures is also presented.
