The influence of thermomechanical treatment regimes on microstructure and mechanical properties of A V-Zr-C alloy

摘要
Using the methods of transmission and scanning microscopy, the features of modification of the grain- and heterophase structure of an V-Zr-C alloy are investigated as a function of its thermomechanical processing. It is shown that the use of the proposed process regimes provides the formation of highly refined (to about 5 nm) secondary-phase precipitates uniformly distributed in the bulk of the material, which significantly improves the strength characteristics at room and elevated (800A degrees C) temperatures, while maintaining acceptable process plasticity. The influence of a variety of hardening factors on parameters of mechanical properties of the V-Zr-C alloy is discussed.
