摘要
This paper aims to characterize Brazilian Internet users with the purpose to understand how Internet users differ in relation their digital skills levels. In order to undertake this research, the microdata from 2015 edition of national-wide survey ICT Household were employed. Multivariate techniques such as Binary Factor Analysis, Cluster Analysis and Binary Logistic Regression were carried out to perform data analysis. The findings of this research indicated that Brazilian Internet users can be classified in four digital skills groups named: (i) instrumental; (ii) interactive; (iii) limited and (iv) broad digital skills. These results allow a more in-depth understanding of digital divide phenomena in Brazil, as well as may contribute to digital inclusion policies.
