摘要
Nanocrystalline gold artichokes were synthesized via a facile solution method. Gold artichoke photo-anode exhibited monolayered and multilayered photocatalytic water splitting performances. An overall water splitting photocurrent density of similar to 0.53 mA/cm(2) at 1.23 V vs RHE with an incident photon to current conversion efficiency of 1.32% was obtained under UV light (similar to 360 nm) irradiation. This novel Au-artichoke structure is a promising photocatalyst beyond environmental remediation. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
