We demonstrate a novel intermodal four-wave mixing process by dividing a pump at 1047nm between the LP0,4 and LP0,5 fiber modes, leading to simultaneously broadband (28nm at 1550nm) and wideband (similar to 1 octave) spontaneous parametric gain.
