The Language of ROK's and DPRK's Literature about the Korean War (1950-1953)

In the article the language of the ROK's and DPRK's literature about the Korean War is analyzed as an important component of the form of the work that, along with the composition, determines the content. An attempt is made to find out what interpretations of the essence of the conflict and narrative purposes of the South Korean and North Korean writers and poets are reflected in the choice of methods for building the narrative, as well as linguistic means (including lexical and grammatical tools), and to consider the changes of the abovementioned means over the years, demonstrating the changes in attitude to the War in course of time in connection with the transformation of the ROK's and DPRK's foreign policy toward each other.
