Two-channel high-T-c SQUID magnetometer for magnetocardiograms

摘要
A two-channel SQUID magnetometer was constructed with directly coupled de SQUIDs made of single-layer YBCO thin films on SrTiO3 bicrystal substrates. The directly coupled SQUIDs showed 1/f noise characteristics. The rms field resolution was similar to 1 pT/Hz(1/2) at 10 Hz, and less than 0.1 pT/Hz(1/2) in the white noise region. We measured the magnetocardiogram (MCG) of a healthy adult by using the two-channel SQUID magnetometer in a magnetically shielded room, The isomagnetic field map was obtained from the MCG result.
